My latest obsession is knafeh from Habibah Sweets in Amman Jordan. Made from spun pastry called kataifi, soaked in sweet sugar syrup, a layer of cheese on the bottom and a sprinkle of pistachio on top. Pictured is "coarse" on the left and "smooth" on the right.
