At Petra, everyone makes a big deal of the Treasury building likely because it's the first thing you see after you walk the 1+ miles through the Siq and its photographed the most. But, we were really impressed by the Royal Tombs in the middle of the Petra ruins. You can get right up close, explore inside, and it isn't as crowded.

Yesterday I walked 9.5 miles as I toured the Pink City of Petra Jordan. Then today, I did it again for another 7 miles (staying on the main path this time). I'm exhausted and my feet are throbbing but I'm thankful that I was able to do this, not once but twice, due to my amazing physiotherapist @sabrinachow29 of @manualworks who has been working on my plantar fasciatis and heal pain for the past year. My advice? Go out and have these adventures when you are young and still able to walk!!

Saved by the hot sun at the Jerash Ruins in Jordan by the welcoming cool breeze, sunscreen, favourite foldable hat, sturdy hiking shoes, and thermal water bottle. Without them I would have melted and wouldn't have been able to explore the Roman ruins. I highly recommend a visit to Jerash! . . . #archeology #romanruins #jerash #jordan
